

Rand Elliott’s Turbinomic project won silver at the 2009 SPARK Awards. The exhibition was held at One Market Place in San Francisco, California. There were tons of designs and concepts from all over the world and entries were divided in categories of bronze, silver, gold or SPARK. On November 20, from 7 - 11PM, Individual Artists of Oklahoma will host Red Dot, an event to benefit the gallery. There will be lots of great art by talented Oklahoma artists for sale, food, friends and drinks. Featured below is Michael Hoffner’s submission to the show, named “So What” after a cut on the famous Miles Davis album, "Kind of Blue," and the colors used in the composition are taken from the album's cover art.

'Dang! That's Good'
Elliott + Associates Architects took home 3 Honor awards and 1 Merit award this year at the 2009 AIA Oklahoma Design Conference: Voices with Vision. A total of 12 awards were given out this year.
The Honor award projects were Gaylord-Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, Red Prime Steak and ELEMENTS at Chesapeake. The Merit award project was Chesapeake Fitness Center – East Addition.
Congrats to everyone who helped make these projects so amazing!

Elliott + Associates Architects has been honored with 5 International Architecture Awards from the Chicago Athenaeum. There were a total of 89 awards given worldwide, 12 awards given to projects in the United States, and out of those 12 awards five of them went to E+A. Those projects were Car Park One at Chesapeake, ImageNet at Oak Park (Houston), Gaylord Pickens Oklahoma Heritage Museum, Chesapeake Boathouse and POPS. The Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Awards is the only international architecture competition. The exhibition was held in Florence, Italy, and our own Miho Kolliopoulos attended.
The awarded projects for 2009 form an exhibition, “New International Architecture” to open during the November 2009 symposium entitled, “The City and the World.” The symposium is organized by The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre and sponsored by the Municipality of Florence and the School of Architecture in Florence at the SESV Santa Verdiana this November. After Florence, the exhibition of awarded buildings will tour inside Europe.
