Chesapeake
Waynoka Field Office
This field office designed for Chesapeake Energy Corporation had specific
requirements. First, it had to provide and economical solution
for their building needs that included a "safe room" to escape
tornadic weather. Also a distinctive solution was needed that would
use low maintenance materials for the building. Lastly the building
needed to be constructed as quickly as possible in a remote location.
Standard geometric forms were incorporated that created
an "honesty" with
the function, shape and material. The corrugated Galvalume metal
panels are reminiscent of local metal farm buildings and reflect the
heat in the hot months of the year. The desire was a metal building
system that would allow simple detailing for clean, "architectural" trim
pieces.
