Stanton L. Young Walk
"Stanton L. Young Walk " is the centerpiece of the Landscape
Master Plan for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
The Stanton L. Young Walk, an area 250 feet wide and 1,000 feet long, will be closed to traffic, demolished, and transformed into a beautiful tree-lined pedestrian mall with stepped terraces and brick-paved sidewalks and special points of interest, including a clock tower, a cascading fountain, arches, and works of art.
To the north of the Stanton L. Young Walk will be a Great Lawn, a large waterwall fountain, a park area within an existing grove of trees, and two fountain courtyard areas.
Estimated time for the project construction is 15 months. Total cost of the Stanton L. Young Walk is approximately $5.5 million.
