At Rand Elliott Architects, a concept gets pushed forward with a two-person team where the collaboration begins. As the project advances, the team shares in the process, which creates a superior level of design. More a studio than an office, the space itself generates energy. The openness of the studio is conducive to free-flowing ideas and creative thought.

The firm holds a staff meeting for two hours every other Monday and everyone discusses project issues; we're all on the same page. We know the challenges facing us so we are all invested in the designs the firm produces. We work together and have respect for each other. We always ask ourselves, "What is the best solution? Where is The Big Idea?" The Concept Rules. If we have three possible solutions, is there a fourth one - which one fits the concept? The best idea wins. It is not an ego or turf issue. We are passionate about the details; nothing is too small to consider. The concept is tested for constructability.

As a team, we are proud that ten of our projects have been recognized by the National AIA for design excellence. This honor positions Elliott + Associates as the 8th most recognized firm since the inception of the AIA awards program in 1949.

Members of the firm are active at every level of the architectural profession; serving as a jury member for the National AIA Honor Awards, Business Week/Architectural Record Awards, and the Central States Region Awards committee. Rand Elliott has given lectures to the Cleveland Museum of Contemporary Art, The Architectural League of New York, Dallas Architectural Forum, and Philadelphia University to name a few. Rand Elliott was the first Oklahoma architect selected for the Bruce Goff Professorship of Creative Architecture at the University of Oklahoma.
