Xuanpu Pavilion by UAD: Timber Pavilion Revives Wuxi Rural Heritage

Xuanpu Pavilion, also known as the Hanging Fall Pavilion, is a reinterpretation of a commemorative brief by the designer team UAD for Zhejiang University’s Zhoushan Campus. Conceived to mark the campus’s 10th anniversary and the 15th anniversary of its marine disciplines, the project evolves beyond a static sculpture into an experiential public space.

The pavilion is about 50 square meters. It prioritizes daily use, dialogue, and contemplation for faculty and students, weaving memory with the campus’s serene, sea-inflected landscape.
