Embracing the Landscape

The clients made the bold decision to abandon a pre-approved, larger two-storey scheme in favor of a quieter, more intimate design. This shift allowed the architects to prioritize a deeper, uninterrupted connection with the surrounding trees and wildlife.

Agricultural Inspiration and Form

Drawing heavily from vernacular farm buildings, the complex is united by corrugated metal cladding across both walls and roofs. This unified material choice gives the structure a contemporary yet authentically rural aesthetic that feels right at home in the Sussex countryside.
