Lithium Crystal Sauna Transforms Swedish Industrial Waste Site

Stockholm-based artist duo Bigert & Bergström has completed a striking new landmark known as the Lithium Crystal Sauna on a remediated industrial site in Skellefteå, northern Sweden. This innovative project serves as the very first permanent structure built for the WasteLand Climate Action Park, which successfully converts a heavily polluted pulp production area into a vibrant public space architecture articles.

Following more than a century of toxic chemical emissions, the Scharin industrial site underwent an extensive 17-year soil remediation process prior to its public conversion.
