California-based Lauri Design Studio has recently completed a stunning renovation of Willow Point, a contemporary waterfront residence originally constructed in 2005. Overlooking Michigan’s picturesque Grand Traverse Bay, the home needed a dramatic refresh to support a quiet lakeside lifestyle and multi-generational family gatherings.

Founder Jenni Lauri spearheaded the extensive overhaul, focusing heavily on improving spatial flow, clearing obscured sight lines, and linking the interior spaces with the natural environment. Redefining the Lower Level Flow

Integrating Natural Elements

To establish a stronger dialogue with the landscape, a brand-new picture window was cut into a concrete kitchen wall to frame views of the nearby forest.
