Uchronia Blossoms Grand Palais With Metal Floral Art

French design studio Uchronia has unveiled a stunning monumental metal floral installation titled Le Grand Bouquet inside the newly restored Grand Palais. This breathtaking centerpiece lights up the Antin Rotunda as a premier attraction during Paris Design Week.

The vibrant sculpture draws direct visual inspiration from the venue’s historic mosaic floors and intricate arcade mouldings. It serves as a brilliant example of modern historical architecture intervention that respects past craftsmanship while offering a bold contemporary vision.

Blooming Architecture Inside the Rotunda

Studio founder Julien Sebban deliberately designed the piece to look as though the venue’s existing ornamentation had organically sprouted and taken over the space. The structure features stylized petals that guide the eye upward toward the ornate ceiling.

Masterful Artisan Collaboration

Bringing this massive vision to life required extensive cooperation with some of France’s finest traditional workshops and modern specialists. Expert metalworkers at Atelier François Pouenat built the core structure, while paint specialists Seigneurie applied specialized coating systems.
