Design Influences and Structural Craftsmanship

Miami Art Deco Meets London History

The project’s striking palette and cloud-like forms draw heavily from an art deco-infused honeymoon in Miami and the eclectic architecture of nearby historic London buildings. If you enjoy studying how past aesthetics influence modern construction, our historical architecture archives offer great context.

Built on the site of a demolished Victorian home, the structure utilizes a steel and blockwork frame adorned with decorative polystyrene arches. Morris personally positioned these exterior features, which are coated in a waterproof layer and finished with bright pink render.

Internal Layouts and Vibrant Finishes

Measuring 133 square metres, Morris’s home features an open-plan ground floor, multiple upper-level bedrooms, and a rooftop terrace complete with an outdoor bathtub. The adjoining 165-square-metre residence utilizes an inverted layout with top-floor social spaces and generous outdoor terraces. Inside, Morris’s dwelling boasts bold turquoise epoxy floors, color-drenched bathrooms, and an emerald-green striped kitchen, while the neighbor’s interior was left blank for customisation.
