Kips Bay Palm Beach 2026 Two Homes, Double Design Inspiration

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach returns with an unprecedented two-house presentation. This year, a waterfront bungalow at 3410 North Flagler Drive is paired with a charming cottage across the street.

Open through March 24, the ticketed event showcases the work of 23 interior and landscape design firms. The event supports the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County.

This post highlights standout interventions and material moments. It also explores the storytelling that connects contemporary and traditional design across both properties.

A Two-House Palm Beach Experience: Design, Storytelling, and Purpose

The two residences deliver a broad spectrum of influences, from modernist leanings to layered traditional sensibilities. Palm Beach’s light and sea-edge context set the scene for both homes.

Visitors encounter bold material choices and inventive outdoor spaces. Personal memory is expressed through furnishings, textiles, and finishes.

The show emphasizes design as philanthropy. Funds raised support youth programs in the local community.

Color, History, and Personal Narratives

Pappas Miron Design used burnished lime and plum plaster walls, vintage finds, and textiles referencing personal history. In Miami, Deborah Wecselman layered family art and reupholstered Ralph Pucci chairs in mint alpaca fur.

She paired these with a handwoven Olga de Amaral textile and a custom sculptural sofa. Lucy O’Brien of Tartan & Toile created drama in small spaces by layering wallpapers and Pierre Frey drapery.

The Cottage Across the Street: Desert Tones, Marble, and Craftsmanship

Across the street, Steven Walsh used full-slab marble and botanical plaster reliefs to maximize impact. Amy Young’s breakfast room and kitchen feature warm desert tones, maroon velour quartzite, and a Larose Guyon chandelier.

These spaces show how warmth, tactility, and restrained color can coexist with Palm Beach glamour.

Outdoor-Indoor Living and Family-Friendly Features

River Brook transformed a tiki hut into a cabana with tented Schumacher stripes.

The space features a pink marble bar.

Bell Design Inc. added a brass fold-up fish bar.

They also created outdoor features tailored for children and wellness spaces.
