The Psychedelics Design Awards 2026 are now open for submissions. This is the second year of the global design competition dedicated to the growing psychedelic field.

This category focuses on the importance of physical environments in therapeutic and personal growth experiences. Spaces designed for guided psychedelic journeys or healing retreats require a deep understanding of user experience and psychological impact.

Art & Photography: Visualizing the Psychedelic Experience

This new category celebrates visual mediums that capture and communicate the unique aesthetics and insights of psychedelic states. Entries may include digital art or photography that reflects these experiences.

Experimental Design: Pushing the Boundaries

The Experimental category invites unconventional and groundbreaking concepts. It is for work that challenges existing ideas and explores new territories.

Educational & Community Impact: Fostering Understanding and Connection

This category highlights initiatives that educate the public and build supportive communities. The focus is on promoting responsible exploration and positive change.

Music & Sound: The Auditory Landscape of Consciousness

Sound and music greatly influence our emotions and thoughts. This category recognizes creators who use auditory arts to enhance psychedelic experiences or support therapy.

Products & Services: Practical Innovations for the Psychedelic Era

This category is for tangible products that support the psychedelic ecosystem. Examples include delivery systems for psilocybin or tools for psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Storytelling: Narratives of Transformation and Insight

This category celebrates storytelling that explores personal journeys or the societal impact of psychedelics. Narratives can highlight therapeutic breakthroughs or personal insights.

Visual Design & Branding: Crafting the Identity of the Psychedelic Space

This category recognizes excellence in graphic design and branding. Visual communication that conveys the mission of psychedelic organizations is celebrated here.

Mushroom of the Year: Honoring Individual Contribution

This category recognizes individuals making a significant impact in the psychedelic field. It is free to enter and open for public nomination and voting.

Judging Criteria and Submission Details

The judging process seeks work that is creative, meaningful, and impactful. The criteria reflect the broad applications of psychedelics.

• Key evaluation metrics: Functionality, transformative potential, impact, empathy, thoughtfulness, innovation, and harmony.

Submissions are open from 1 February to 1 July 2026. A limited number of submission scholarships are available to help those facing financial barriers. This helps ensure fair access for all entrants.

Celebrating Excellence at the Psychedelics Design Online Conference

The culmination of the awards will be a celebration of innovation and insight. Winners and finalists will be announced in October 2026 and officially recognized at the Psychedelics Design Online Conference.

The conference is scheduled for 6–7 November 2026. The theme, “Creative Biome,” explores the connections between creativity and consciousness.

Confirmed speakers include neuroscientist Robin Carhart‑Harris, PhD. There will also be a conversation with Zoe Wilder and Rick Doblin, PhD, offering valuable perspectives from leaders in the field.
